Prevailing Torque

Precision bearing threads in Series BH, BHL, BHM, BHS, and BHT are manufactured to National Standard Class 3. Precision ISO metric threads in Series BM, BML, BMM, BMS, and BMT are manufactured to Class 4H. Unified threads in Series BHI are manufactured to Class 3B.

Series Name Description
BH Bearhug The BEARHUG are super-precise prevailing torque self-locking threaded retaining devices which provide better performance, greater accuracy and balance of spindles, infinite adjustment, smoother operation, and thus longer life.
BHI Bearhug The BEARHUG with 16 threads per inch where bearing or other components have inch dimensioned bores.
BHL Bearhug The BEARHUG with left-hand threads to resist rotational forces from the counter clockwise direction, usually at higher speeds.
BHM Bearhug The BEARHUG made of alloy steel hardened for heavy duty applications.
BHS Bearhug The BEARHUG made of stainless steel with nylon locking collars to resist corrosive environments used in chemical, food and pumping applications.
BHT All-Steel Bearhug All steel prevailing torque retaining device with spring metal collar insert in ABMA bearing thread sizes.
BM Bearhug The BEARHUG with ISO metric threads and metric dimensions.
BML Bearhug The BEARHUG with ISO metric left-hand threads in same configuration as the BM series.
BMM Bearhug The BEARHUG with ISO metric threads and made of hardened alloy steel for heavy duty applications in the same configuration as the BM series.
BMS Bearhug The BEARHUG with ISO metric threads and made of stainless steel.
BMT All-Steel Bearhug All steel prevailing torque retaining device with spring metal collar insert in Metric bearing thread sizes.
